It seemed like this day would never come, but the Li Jianhong record is now sold out from me. It is probably still available from our distributors: Forced Exposure, Mimaroglu, Discriminate, Midheaven, Fusetron, and Eclipse.

The Astral Social Club / Tomutonttu split is now out of print. Thanks very much everyone for your support. For those who missed out, I have a couple of extra jackets left along with test pressings that I could sell for a reduced rate. Otherwise, refer to the many fine distributors who still have the record in stock (Midheaven/Revolver, Mimaroglu, Eclipse, Fusetron, Forced Exposure, Carrot Top / Saki, Tedium House ).
TBT010 Mrtyu - Ornate Shroud is now sold out from me. It remains available from many fine outlets, including Mimaroglu Music Sales, Fusetron, Eclipse, Forced Exposure, and Discriminate.
I'm pleased to announce two new vinyl releases on Tipped Bowler, split LPs between Nova Scotia / Eye and Astral Social Club / Tomutonttu. They can be had for $16 post-paid in the United States, $20 post-paid to Canada or Mexico, and $26 post-paid overseas. Domestic customers are encouraged to order through catalog page.
For whatever reason, the international-purchase buttons don't work on the catalog page, so international customers should contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or just paypal directly to that address.
Lastly, those looking to order both records (or two of any record) can opt for a $28 combo pack if domestic, $34 if in Canada/Mexico, and $42 overseas. To take advantage of this fine opportunity, please respond to this email with a note indicating the desired records. If seeking to order more than 2 records, I can cut down the per record price even further. Write if you're interested.
Descriptions and woefully inadequate thumbnail cover pics can be found on the catalog page, and audio samples from each side are available at: http://soundcloud.com/tipped
Thanks for looking!
If you want to be added to the Tipped Bowler mailing list, just send an email with "subscribe" as the subject line to email@example.com. updates will be infrequent and brisk.

Nova Scotia / Eye
Tipped Bowler returns to the fertile soil of New Zealand to cull two choice improvisations. On the A-side, Wellington’s Nova Scotia delivers “A Million Corpses of Dead Bees,” an eighteen minute free-rock burner. Growing from violin sine-squeak and distant shortwave, the piece gains momentum with its patient drumming and resolves into a saxophone swarm shot through with synthetic scrabble. On the reverse, Dunedin’s Eye comes off colder and more aggressive. “High Road” throttles the listener with Schnitzler-ian electronics, militant percussion, and guitar strangulation before collapsing into coda of cymbal taps and glassy string-work. Rigorous yet unbound, these pieces shine a light on a musical community few of us can witness firsthand.
Issued in an edition of 250 150-gram black LPs in elegant black-and-white matte sleeves screened with consummate skill by Siwa.
Hopefully Mrtyu requires little introduction, because the project evades easy description. An odd compound of Vedic imagery, metal misanthropy, and violin agony, this music moves away from any particular fan base in pursuit of its distant, darkened idols. Ornate Shroud is Mrtyu's most potent spawn to date. Hewing closer to song form than previous releases, the album conceals Antony Milton's violent guitar and violin work behind Mrtyu's characteristic murk. Its pieces transition from jagged riffs to eerie ambient scrapes through wooly feedback, approaching the uncanny. Although the year is yet young, 2009 will likely not produce a bleaker aggraga record.
Edition of 350 180 gm. LPs in heavy-stock linen-paper sleeves hand-screened, -cut, and -glued by Reuben Little of 43rd Parallel Press.
Available from Tipped Bowler in the US and Faunasabbatha in France.
